Biozone Manufacturing

OZONE, AS OPPOSED TO CHLORINE, IN WATER TREATMENT

Chlorine has been used historically in water treatment plants for disinfection.

Ozone gas is a well known in water purification projects and is an essential tool for water treatment providing an eco-friendly solution to chlorine, which is a pollutant.

Residual chlorine will play havoc with the ecosystem by reaching rivers, soil or underground water systems.

Conversely, ozone can be used instead of chlorine, where the added oxidation capabilities and decomposition of contaminants will leave no residual harmful residues.

Ozone Generators in Water Treatment

Ozone is a highly reactive gas composed of three oxygen atoms that will oxidise and neutralise contaminants.

High concentrations of ozone gas can be produced at ground level, which can then be easily dissolved ozone into water, leading to effective and efficient water treatment.

The more ozone molecules there are, the more opportunities for them to interact with and neutralise contaminants.

Mass transfer efficiency and advanced oxidation processes provide immense water treatment benefits by utilising high-concentration ozone.

An electrical charge to oxygen molecules results in ozone gas, which can then be introduced into water for treatment and disinfection.

Ozone gas produced from oxygen can achieve 5-14% by weight.

Ozone is a powerful disinfectant that neutralises biological matter, such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites, making it an excellent choice for water treatment. Summary of ozone gas in water treatment:

  • Highly efficient at removing contaminants
  • Strong disinfectant properties
  • Versatility in treating various waterborne pathogens
  • Environmentally friendly nature.
  • Ozone generators present a highly efficient, eco-friendly, and versatile solution for water treatment.
  • Strong oxidising properties effectively eliminate contaminants and improve water quality in industrial settings.
  •  Provide cleaner and safer water.
