Biozone delivered a robust water treatment and borehole management system for Sasol, ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply for their industrial operations. The project involved drilling, equipping, and monitoring multiple boreholes, with carefully designed pumping schedules to protect aquifers over the long term. The water treatment system includes sediment and iron removal using Activated Filter Media (AFM), followed by nanofiltration (NF) to control hardness and silica levels.

This ensures optimal water quality for Sasol’s processes while protecting critical equipment from scale and corrosion. Real-time monitoring and advanced control systems allow Sasol to track water quality and system performance, with seamless switching between borehole and municipal sources when needed. The solution enhances operational efficiency, sustainability, and long-term water security for the facility.
