The challenge
Choppies Zambia operates over 40 supermarket and retail stores across Zambia, and runs process lines as part of its production. Process water goes into its products, and water is also used on the bottling lines to rinse and fill the bottles.
The solution
Choppies in Zambia bought two SOZ 20G ozone generators from Biozone and uses them to disinfect water across primary parts of its process lines, from the process water used in its products to bottle rinsing and filling.
- Ozone generation: two SOZ 20G ozone generators, used across primary parts of the process lines.
- Process water: ozone-treated water is used as process water in Choppies’ products.
- Rinse and fill water: the generated ozone gas is dissolved into the water, and that water is used for both rinsing the bottles and filling them during production.
- On-site generation: the two units generate ozone on site using an integrated oxygen system, and are designed to run automatically.
SOZ ozone generators are supplied and supported by Biozone, a South African engineering company.
